Beaty Biodiversity Museum

Overview

Perhaps the most family-friendly of all UBC museums, the Beaty Biodiversity Museum is immediately recognizable by the giant blue whale skeleton hanging over its lobby. With more than two million specimens dating from the early 1900s, Vancouver’s only natural history museum is a treasure trove of fish, fossils, birds and bugs. Inspire young scientists in the dedicated “Discovery Lab,” or dig deeper with documentary screenings and special exhibitions.
